Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
